If you have time, keep looking for the truck. The used market has started to soften and prices are easing down, from what it looks like in TN anyway.
We got the wife a single owner 2014 Armada with only 40k on it for $12,000 a couple of months ago.The damn thing looks and drives like it's brand new.
An older couple used it to haul their grandkids to travel ball games for a couple of years and hadn't really driven it much since COVID so they decided it needed to go. We got lucky and caught it the day they listed it on Marketplace and went and bought it that afternoon. The wife loves it. There are definitely deals to be had.
There is no way in hell I would buy a brand new vehicle these days. Lol
Been driving a small gas efficient hatchback since 2010. Decided I want to spend my money on something other than gas. 85 mile round trip commute every day for 9.5 years. But that time is over. Going to try your route and purchase from a private owner and not a dealership or used car business. Only 1.2 miles of dirt road but it is desert and with some elevation gain so it will be pretty treacherous in the spring after a rainstorm
